Parking on someone drive
Some idiot has parked on my driveway blocking my wife from parking, im at work so cant do anything about it. He was there for about 20 mins, anyway of finding out who he is from the number plate? Im sure there isnt as that would cause many other issues but its really wound me up.

I wouldn't have an issue with that Brooking, can't be helped and all that and I'm not bothered if someone parks in front of my drive as long as I'm not wanting to drive in or out of it at least.

Now if you had ran out of petrol and coasted onto my drive then it would be a different story, although knowing my luck I would be at work and unable to come out and smash your windscreen in.

Re: Parking on someone drive
you cant do anything about it legally but what you could do if your feeling vexed is find some dog poo and rub it all over the door handles. Of course wear gloves and do this. Find some more dog poo, put it in a plastic bag and tape it to the exhaust under the front seats. That way they get the smell of burning plastic and dog poo for quite a while. Does that help?

Years ago I was driving and ran out of Petrol (Tank showed 1/4 full, found out later it was defect on the car, recall etc)

As I coasted to a stop I found myself blocking a residential driveway. I jumped out and started to push the vehicle past it, you know the visual. Driver door open, one hand on the wheel pushing with all my might.

Dickhead in the house comes out, not to help but to shout at me as I had 'parked' across his driveway. Grrrr

Re: Parking on someone drive
I got a passive-aggressive "please do not park over my driveway" note on my windscreen a while back, which was odd because I was in a residential parking bay. The bay backs onto a 20' square patch of grass, surrounded on 3 sides by half a dozen terraced houses. It wasn't even a 'permit holders only' I concluded it was part of some art 'happening' sponsored by the Turner prize and thought no more about it.

A week later all became clear. The fat cunt from one of the houses was using the grass as his unofficial driveway so he could avoid walking from the bay to his front door - a whopping 5 -10 yards. And I was in his 'space'

His Audi also had a Bagpuss toy in the parcel shelf.

They tried a similar thing near me but with wheelie bins. One did it then another and then it became the trend. Council sent a lorry down and swiped every bin.

Returned them a week or so later. Hasn't happened again.

Clowns in my street have started to lay out cones to reserve their parking.

Council swung buy and picked them all up and took them away.

Neighbours faces faces were priceless when they returned home. I think everyone in the street had the same idea to ensure that they all parked outside their house.

Re: Parking on someone drive
Roby, it was parked on my actual drive not just on the pavement in front of the house, the wife sent me a picture of the car parked fully on the driveway and had to wait until someone appeared so she could park on our own drive. If I could find the bloke then the windows are going in

Re: Parking on someone drive
A friend of mine, a scafolder, lived near a shop. People were always parking in front of his drive. He'd have to sit and wait for them to come out the shop, then he'd have a moan. One bloke was particularly like ' alright mate, fucking hell, keep your hair on, its not a big deal'. Which really wound my mate up.
So he followed the bloke home, (at a distance so it wasn't to aggressive.)
The next day instead of coming home in his car he came home in the spare work scafold lorry, a bit earlier than normal and parked across the blokes drive, then went home.
He got a phone call later on from someone he knew saying the arsehole bloke was knocking on doors fuming someone had parked across his drive.
He went and picked the lorry up at about 11pm,

Over here it's..

"Driveway in use 24hrs a day,any veeehicccle blocking driveway will be towed at owners expense"

Dunno about the legal ramifications in England.

Frozen prawns in the air vents is your friend, takes a while to take hold and rot and by then they wouldn't remember which person they was a cunt to as it's probably a habit of theirs.

Re: Parking on someone drive
You don't state if the offending car was parked on the carriageway blocking your lowered kerb to your property or actually parked on your driveway in your front garden.

If it's parked in your front garden that's a fucking piss take - if just parked up on the carriageway then let's be honest, just a slight inconvenience.
